الرئيسية City Schedules Wildfire Preparation Pop Up Events City Schedules Wildfire Preparation Pop Up Events Posted: Wednesday, July 2, 2025 The City of Lake Forest and its public-safety partners will host two pop-up events to share information with residents on how to reduce the threat of wildfires. The Orange County Fire Authority is participating, along with 3rd District Supervisor Don Wagner’s Office and Southern California Edison. The City will have a booth focused on the systems staff members use to notify residents during an emergency. The City’s volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will also have a booth. Representatives of the Portola Hills FireWise programs, OC Sheriff’s Department, OC Parks, volunteer OC Firewatch, and Office of the California Insurance Commissioner have also been invited. Two events will be held to ensure residents can drop by: The first is July 19 at Portola Park, 28040 Glenn Ranch Road The second is August 9 at Borrego Park, 26982 Cabriole Both events will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The release of the recent Fire Hazard Severity Zones Maps raised residents’ awareness of the potential for wildfire near Lake Forest. The pop up events are a chance for residents to easily get the specific information they are seeking, and for the agencies to share the steps they are taking to minimize the wildfire threat.
