Lake Forest featured in the Orange County Business Journal

The City of Lake Forest was featured in a five-page advertising supplement in the June 27, 2016, edition of the Orange County Business Journal that enhances the City’s business attraction and retention efforts. It embraces the theme, “Lake Forest, Where Work and Life Come Together Naturally,” and highlights the City’s flourishing business climate and various residential and business amenities. Additionally, it promotes the "Locate in Lake Forest” advertisement that champions Lake Forest as the “Natural Choice for Business” and promotes the City’s Expedited Business Assistance Meetings.

Lake Forest Ranked 12th Safest City by Safewise

In the 2016 Safewise annual report of the “50 Safest Cities in California,” Lake Forest is rapidly approaching a top 10 position as the 12th safest California city.   Issued earlier this week using statistics from the recently published yearly FBI Crime Report, the annual ranking shows Lake Forest improved 4 positions in 2016 from being the 16th safest California city in 2015. Safewise chose from over 550 California cities with populations over 10,000 residents to compile the 2016 list of “50 Safest Cities in California.”  

Lake Forest Named One of the Best Cities for Young Families

Lake Forest was recently named by a NerdWallet article as one of the "Best Cities for Young Families in California" and "Best Cities for Job Seekers in California." Lake Forest was ranked as the 6th best city for young families in California. NerdWallet's rankings were based off public school rankings, home affordability, and the city's overall growth and prosperity. NerdWallet credited Lake Forest's high median household income, district-wide graduation rates, and public school rankings. It also mentioned the success of the Lake Forest Teens program that offers students assistance with homework, learning about volunteer opportunities, and taking day trips in the local region.

Lake Forest Named One of the Best Cities for Job Seekers

Lake Forest is ranked 9th on NerdWallet's "Best Cities for Job Seekers in California" list. The rankings were based on the city's growth, working-age population, unemployment rate, and median household income. Lake Forest's high household income is favorable compared to the average monthly homeowner costs, allowing residents to spend less on their homes. NerdWallet also mentioned Lake Forest's 2 largest employers, Oakley and Panasonic Avionics, who combined employ over 4,000 people.
